veritas I agree he was foolish to invite them into his home but I did the very same thing when I was 20 and driving a taxi.

A lad of about 17 passed out drunk in the back and I had no idea what to do with him as he hadn't given me a street adress or suburb so ended up carrying him up 2 flights of stairs and putting him on my sofa to sleep it off.

When he awoke he had no memory of where he was and why he was there. Fortunately I lived with 6 people at the time and it was decades ago...but in this day and age I shudder to think of the possible consequences.

As for his wife. If she turned her allegiance so quickly just because other people found him guilty then maybe he's better off without her. A very sad and damaging event in his life, which he'll never fully recover from.
JC The state authorities put so much emphasis on DNA these days that if they refuse to accept this new evidence they'll be virtually shooting themselves in the foot. An accuser who's story never remained the same should have been sufficient for any judge to throw the case out in the first place. Now they have DNA evidence that shows she'd had sex with several guys, none of which was the accused.

Desmond Uttley was unwise to invite them into his home, but that seems to be all. I'm sure the state pursues such cases for political reasons, not in the interests of justice.

As for his wife. I
Angel This poor man has lost everything. All in the name of being a good citizen.
