The "campaign" to close down the British pub is gaining ground every day. The small independent pub cant match Wetherspoons or Tescos.

Surely it would make sense to REDUCE duty on drinks in PUBS - because the ASBO drinkers come from PARKS and BUS SHELTERS. In addition PUBS should pay duty based on how much trouble they cause ( e.g if they are a binge bar or a decent village pub )

Surely this would be a fairer way to "Tax" the pub ?

I would hope the TORIES can come up with a plan to reduce taxes for the village and community pub - and raise them for the binge drinking establishments.
