david	crime on the whole is down (but that's not a good story). although the rise in homophobic crime is at first sight alarming, I think it could be because more victims are coming forward to report the crime.
BR	The crime figures say this. Shocking again and another real measure of how New Labour have failed to intergrate society - turning person against person. Just being "PC" is not the same as educating people to respect each other and each others beliefs and sexuality. The kids can say "The right things" but in reality their attitudes are hardening against other people. It is quite clear that stats and words say the world is a wonderful place - but the reality of it says the opposite. Spin is now KING on the media. Gun crime is up 48% in London which is equally scary.
