I'm sorry but filming someone having sex with you without their knowledge and keeping the film on dvd is an abuse of their trust in a very intimate moment and just plain wrong.

I think dragging false accusations into this is irrelevant.

It's as bad as the argument for blanket CCTV coverage- 'if you haven't done anything you have nothing to worry about'- ffs.

it's a difficult one david..filming oneself for protection and violating another's rights !

what about public toilets etc that have security cameras..I only noticed the other day there is one in my lift !!..after 10 years I finally noticed it. God only knows what it's filmed me doing.

Celibacy is the only way now.
Blackit Well, if you look at the comments underneath this tabloid report of the story, you'll see that a lot of people have problems with this man having his life destroyed (bear in mind the kind of 'hang-em-high' comments that sex offence stories normally recieve ):

veritas I think blacklit is spot on and having cameras is a great way to protect one self from false allegations.

At the same time he has admitted he may look in mirrors and is a potential voyeur so should turn himself in and be registered..for our protection !

Surely there should be a law that forces glass installers, builders etc to report all bedrooms they may have mirrors strategically placed !

I'd like children who inadvertently walk in on their parents arrested also and put on a voyeurs register.
Blackit I think it's evil to be so flippant about the false rape accusations that destroy the lives of thousands of men each year. Particularly on this board.

What about someone whose life has been destroyed by a false rape accusation? Do you think it's still evil for THAT man to record his sexual encounters for proof of consent?

And if this guy was showing his recordings to other people, it would be a completely different matter. If they were for his own personal use then it's just an extension of a visually recalling his sexual encounters. Do you think I'm evil if I make a deliberate attempt to retain memory of a particularly great sex session years later. After you've had sex and your partner says 'that was great', do you feel the need to rejoinder : 'agreed, but do you mind signing a consent form so that I can visualise this in my brain when I'm a lonely old man without being accused of sexual voyeurism, when experiences like this are just distant memories'?
