giles2008 ont know about black armbands i want to know why footballers other than the goalkeeper wear black gloves? is it cos they feel the cold?
robbiex The black armbands on wednesday were because of the sudden death of Macclesfield Manager Kieth Alexander on Wednesday morning. I'm not sure about the armbands for the fulham match, I imagine it was for the smae reason.
Emma Bee Have black armbands become a standard part of the modern football kit? It seems that they are always wearing them. England wore them against Egypt. Spurs are wearing them today against Fulham. In most games I've seen on TV recently I have noticed that the players are wearing black armbands. They are worn so often that they are in danger of losing their meaning.
