I attempted suicide four months ago. I won't go into the full story about why, but I'm sure I've said here in the past about some time I spent in psychiatric care last year. My attempt knowledge was all sourced from the 'net. Fortunately/unfortunately, I was found and treated.

People have always feared and demonised new technology. It usually takes a few decades before we properly accept new stuff.
Trains stopped cows from giving milk.
TV rotted our brains.
Mobile phones caused cancer.
Remember the "video nasties" period? My mother wouldn't have a video player in the house because all videos were either porn or blood and gore.
Now it's the internet. I wonder what will be next?
The Cat is correct. When Elvis swivelled his hips it was seen as near satanic to some. Cliff Richard's lip curling caused many a brow to furrow.
You know what BR has nothing on JK. Studying the lyrics of Everyone's Gone To The Moon I believe he predicted all of this way back.

Yes, it's easier to close down websites than ask real questions as to why young people are harming themselves in ever greater numbers (the highest in the world).
But then doing anything other would require that the people who run society are actually interested in the welfare of children rather than their own adult needs. And that clearly isn't the case.
