JK2006 Fascinating; I was busily reading and loving many of the novels now considered up for the prize - the marvellous Muriel Spark (time for a revival?), Mary Renault, the truly pro-gay writer and my favourite before Anne Rice, Ursula La Guinn, Iris Murdoch, Len Deighton...
