Actually I have been positively surprised by the responsible and restrained bahviour of all 3 main party leaders.

There are a few people on here who, like certain parts of the media, have a hatred of Brown that seems almost pathological and obsessive.

(I say that as someone who is not usually a Labour voter and not a fan of Brown.)
Prunella Minge Brown's obliged by constitutional convention to stay where he is until something else is decided, so he's not 'squatting'. It's obviously an unbearable position for anyone to be in, regardless of whether you happen to like the man or not. By his somewhat mercurial temperament I think he's behaving pretty decently.
