Why not? Conservatives picked up more seats in Britain than any other party. Who said where they are should count?

The Scots and the Welsh have an English Parliament? Really?

Well, I agree with you completely about Rifkind. He was talking complete nonsense. Of course Clegg should speak to everyone he wants to before weighing them all up. But I don't think you can single Cameron out for saying what he did - sure, he's a politician, he has a self-interested motive, but I doubt one can dismiss the notion that he also has rather better motives in this particular case: speaking as someone who'd never ever vote Tory even at gunpoint, I think he's behaved - at least in public - surprisingly well during this peculiar interregnum. Rather better than Clegg, IMHO.

The farcical thing is that the Scots have their OWN Parliament (as do the Welsh) but can also influence Westminster.
Look at how ridiculous it was for Alex Salmond claiming he should speak in the debates when he wasn't even standing at the election !
Either England should also have its own Parliament (and then Westminster can become the "overal" voice for the UK / Great Britain, or else Westminster should become soely the English parliament.
