Good news, JK!
veritas Tony Benn is my all time hero and the only poltician who has never said one single thing or proposed a policy that I ever disagreed with.

I met him once..he was walking uo Holland Pk Road looking for the cinema at Notting Hill Gate and stopped me and asked were it was.

Typical Benn..he has lived for about 50 years just down the road from the cinema and didn't know where it was.

Remember when they found a tramp who had been living in the laneway at the back of house for about a year and he turned out to be a distant
cousin!

Another time he got some sort of weird infection in his foot from drinking about 20 mugs of tea each day.

And of course he is related to the best Miss Marple...Margaret Rutherford.

judging by the applause after his BBC News appearance.

I've met him several times and like and admire him.

As he was my local MP for several years, I too have met him on numerous occasions. His wife (Caroline) was lovely too.

david I've met him too. Lovely man.
dixie Totally agree. Though I've rarely agreed with his policies, I totally respect him and the way he conducts himself. If only today's MPs behaved like him.

The only modern day MP who I really respect is Willam Hague, though Gordon Brown has been growing on me - as a person. I think he was useless as PM - but so may Tony Benn have been!
