Prunella Minge They're televising the memorial service at the moment, thus turning what should surely be an intimate service aimed at the local inhabitants into something much more intrusive aimed at a wider audience of casual voyeurs. This sort of incident encourages the worst habits of rolling news channels - repetitive questions, endless speculation and some grossly insensitive interrogations just to keep justifying the media still being there. No doubt they'll soon have reporters standing in the middle of the high street complaining that no one yet seems able to move on. It's depressing stuff, and really so unnecessary.
