JK2006 Regular visitors will know I reread a Dickens novel every year and I don't think I've read Chuzzlewit for decades so it is like brand new. I cannot tell you how wonderful the writing is. Astonishing that it was first published exactly a hundred years before my birth - in 1844. The world then - no cars, no televisions, no telephones - is painted so magnificently. Every day brings further joy.
