The good thing about all these (very good) German goals is that our second goal wouldn't have made the slightest bit of difference.

And it's still a very good game; England playing better than they have ever played and Germany playing like potential champions.

Well, I was right ....

We put ALL our hopes on a non-scoring goal scorer !
But the fat little bald one will STILL be a permanent member of this "club".

To win in football you simply have to score goals (simples !)

Even with the disallowed "goal" - England were NEVER in front.

Final thought - Do England football fans EVER stop whining ?
(are they fighting where you are yet ?)

Final words to an expert -
BBC Sport's chief football writer Phil McNulty "England will complain long and hard about the bitter injustice of Frank Lampard's disallowed goal, with justification, but no amount of controversy should disguise how embarrassing they have been in parts of this game.

True, England are chasing the game but the manner in which Germany have been too quick, too mobile and too intelligent is a chastening lesson for Fabio Capello to take away from this World Cup.

If you're English, this hurts an awful lot. They haven't just been beaten by Germany, they have been comprehensively outplayed. We are doing nothing more than going through the motions in Bloemfontein."

Spot on ITK. England got hammered. Bring on the excuses. Even Scotland would have beat them. Now show some humility and stop pretending you can win every tournament.

This is probably the worst England performance I have ever seen. Their defence was woefull. No communication and players are playing out of position, giving the Germans bags of room. I'm glad that Germany scored 2 more, then we don't have to keep hearing about the dissallowed goal that should have been.

BR Well I was totally right.

The disallowed goal ruined the game and stopped us from getting back into it.

At 2 - 2 it would have been game on - and the Germans would have been rattled.

The whole WORLD CUP has been ruined like in the Hand of God thing.

It has frankly ( Ghana apart ) been the worst World Cup ( USA apart ) I can remember.

Not a single great game - and not a single team apart from Ghana playing entertaining football.

Today has been dominated by the refereeing and bad defending by an English defence which has been the worst I have ever seen.
