Topic History of: France vs Spain - the most interesting game of the World Cup

Michael Really enjoyed this game. Couldn't help feeling great for Zidane with that five-star goal. The French team was getting a really hard time at home for sending an OAP team, and the Spanish were crowing that they were the ones that would be sending Zidane packing (it's his last int'l tournament, which means every match could be his last one).

Do I hear the sound of hats been eaten? Not really, as it's not in the nature of the press. The daily Liberation had put "You don't change a losing team" as their front page headline the day before. Now they put "Vamos!", calling the match the best duel of the World Cup so far (probably true).

After being total bastuds, I suppose we can expect to see articles praising the old guard (Zidane, Barthes, Beckham) when England knock Portugal out.

JK2006 Half time... really good game. 1-1
JK2006 more "favourite players" than any other game.
Zidane, from the 90's, was my favourite footballer and I'm longing to see the film.
Thierry and Viera great.
Ditto Trezeguet - on the bench to start. Love him.
Spain - Fabregas excellent ditto Raul.
And my new fave of faves - Torres.
Should be a great game.
