JK2006 Not Dickens' best (the American section is a serious mistake) although he thought it was - but the worst of Charles is as good as a fine Michelangelo or Van Gogh.

Some magnificent characters (Sairey Gamp, Pecksniff, Tom Pinch) and some magical scenes but lacking in dimension.

Still a wonderful read.
