interesting, ITK, about the fact that the taser could have made him shoot.

However, and I say this in all ignorance, the psychologist on Radio 4's Today programme did seem to say that it would have ended with his death anyway. The psychological profile they described (unfortunately I was only just waking up so don't remember precisely) was that of someone who needed to feel that they were in control. In that, he succeeded. And the ultimate way of taking control for some people is taking their own life.

So yes, the police do have questions to answer but they were facing a case which had a foregone conclusion.

Not necessarily. Is it "convenient" for the police that he is dead? He won't be able to ask any more questions will he?

I feel a great deal of sympathy for Moat as he obviously had serious issues, but let's not forget that he killed one person and seriously injured two others. He had to be stopped, however sad that may be.

Allegedly, David ! Allegedly !
There will not be trial now, will there. Nor any evidence produced.
Remember we only have the police "version" so far (which seems to change frequently).

Remember too, that this all started when Moat thought (correctly ?) that a policeman was having an affair with his girlfriend ! (I've seen posted - but not read any confirmation - that this policeman was the same one that got him banged-up?)

They are in this up to their eyes !

BR The TRUTH is now coming out.

The POLICE were engaged in a WAR with MOAT.

Why cant they be HONEST about that. I would respect them more if they told the truth. At least MOAT said he was at WAR with them

They have ASSASSINATED MOAT in cold blood but dont have the GUTS to admit that. This smells of a cover up. NO wonder the media dont believe the POLICE story.

Supposedly there are MORE SHOTS on the video that ONE - and that the POLICE shot him then tried to cover it up.

They waited TWO HOURS before informing the IPCC - which is a LONG LONG time.

Thanks for pointing out it was TWO TASERS - outrageous.
In The Know From Sky News -

Firearms experts said it is possible that the high voltage shock may have caused him to flinch and pull the trigger as he held the shotgun to his neck in the pouring rain.

Up until now, police would only say "no gunshots" were fired by officer. The matter will be investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

===

So much for "took his own life" ?
In The Know He was Tasered twice (by different officers) BR !

So much for the "police did not fire a shot" original announcement (clearly a falsehood intended to show them in a good light).

ITV News seem to think there is more to this than meets the eye and challenged the Mad Policewomen after a press conference - but she refused to speak to them.
