I have a strong "feeling" that whenever the gov here can't get what it wants (ie Control Orders / House Arrest) then the Yankers mysteriously come-up with a "charge" which allows these people to be held further.

Quid Pro Quo ?

In The Know Four police officers will face prosecution over an alleged attack on a terror suspect, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has said.

Babar Ahmad, 36, an IT worker, alleged he was beaten and verbally abused when arrested in Tooting on 2 December 2003.

Mr Ahmad, who was not charged following the raid, was awarded £60,000 damages last March by the Metropolitan Police.

Simon Clements, from the CPS, said there was "sufficient evidence" to charge four of the officers.
