In The Know The ridiculing of B-Liar continues apace !

The Mail today claims that he can claim up to £1.75 million tax relief as a result of his "gift".

Max Hastings does a piece, under the headline "Blair's £5 gift is designed to make himself feels better. The ret of us must just hold our noses".

and finally ... a brilliant cartoon. Man in office at the Samaritans answering a call "Dry those tears and wipe your eyes, Mrs Balir. Just how much money is your husband giving away?"

There are still members of Adolf Hitler's family living in the USA under annonymous names receiving royalties from Mein Kampf (and such a badly written book)

The copyright of "Mein Kampf" is owned by the bavarian state. And - according to Wikipedia - the copyright has been relinquished for the English, Dutch and Swedish editions.

According to the Mail, amongst his (known) payments are -

£1 million a year for "advising" Zurich Financial Services (on what ???!)

£1 million a year from US investment bank JP Morgan (which, according to the Mail, is heading a consortium to "rebuild" Iraq, and stands to make billions as that economy recovers).

£1 million for writing a report for the government of Kuwait on the future of the oil rich state (and how would he know?).
Chris Retro £12M would be a very conservative (boom!boom!) estimate of Blair's fiscal legacy. There will be a whole lot more going unreported - there is no doubt all politicians do this to some degree, but Honest Tone has reaped the benefits & rewards of being America's slave in ways most folk could not even imagine. Don't forget money makes money makes money, especially when: 1) your wealth is at this level, and 2) you have direct connections to the shadowy world of intenational invetsment banking/private banking. There are well-connected private individuals who can make £10m a year on the side through playing the financial markets (yes, even now), Bliar will be streets ahead of them! This gesture is a drop in the ocean primarily to try and repair his tattered public image, and will be even more of a gesture once his accountants have sorted the tax allowance from the charitable trusts etc
