About the movie, I thought the World Cup being in South Africa would have given it a second wind, particularly as the political subtext would have been so topical, but it didn't seem to.

JK2006 I agree - he should have won Best Actor Oscar - and his first film too.
veritas got this out from the dvd section of my local library..having never heard of it and must admit the South Arican accents first put me off until I was drawn in. It's a wonderful film and the lead actor is superb.

Brilliant direction and so many subtle messages.
JK2006 Yes and I see it was Oscar nominated last year; these things tend to fade as I get older... very little short term memory remains. Who are you exactly Pru?
