Quote from Blair p690 "I have always been more interested in religion than in politics"... seems Ken was right.
Too occupied with God to spot the Devil?

B-Liar, speaking about Bush, in his new book -
I had come to like and admire George. I was asked recently which of the political leaders I had met had the most integrity. I listed George near the top. Some people were aghast... thinking I was joking. He had genuine integrity and as much political courage as any leader I ever met. He was, in a bizarre sense... a true idealist.

Misuse of religion,or just blatant stupidity?
Then again the ego of a simpleton like Bush goes a long way to explain things also.

I just remembered - when Ken Livingstone was on TalkRadio as my guest, during a commercial break he said "the trouble with Tony Blair is that he believes in God; politicians who believe in God are disastrous". I think he had a point.

Considerably more than died in the World Trade Centre.
Both sets of murders due to people who believe in a God and think sometimes killing innocent people can be justified.
Which may sometimes be right (killing Hitler and the Gestapo may have saved millions of Jews, gays and others).
But as society we need to be very watchful of our leaders and their desires to intervene...
Belief systems and morality can be very suspect rulers of life and death.
