mikemacca He doesn't look that good to me. Roddick was overweight and hardly played in the last few months so was easy fodder and his first 2 opponents were not grass court players. Today Murray played a guy the same age who outclassed him in every department.
"Timid Tim" made 8 quarter finals and 4 semi finals at Wimbledon plus the Semis of the French and US Opens. It was just unfortunate for him that Sampras was around at the same time.He also spent 7 years in the top 15 in the world (4 of them in the top 10)." Hardly a failure.
When was the last time the English football team finished 3rd in anything? (Probably a penalty shoot out!).

Talking of 4 weeks in the Top Ten are you enjoying the summer JK ?
JK2006 Dr Andy and Mr Murray... which are we to get?
The sulky Scottish version of Kevin the teenager?
Or the brilliant tennis player who conquered Roddick the Jolly Green Giant?
Who can tell? See 2007 for the next clue.
In The Know Well done, though .... I'm sure he'll be a champ one day (unlike Timid Tim !)
