The great difference is - we don't get aplogies [sic] and £100,000 payouts from the police. We are much more likely to be convicted and fined or jailed." Spot on, Ann from Scotland. Meanwhile, other EU states prosecute people defending themselves from attack very very rarely. I believe the Czech Republic's policy is never to prosecute someone defending themselves from an attack. Perhaps it's time for our own Prague Spring here.
