the weather affects everyone and I suffer from SAD (seasonal affective disorder) which is why I live in Oz now.
But the weather is bizarre..like winter. There is definitely something strange happenign with the weather.
Yes Ready Teddy...you would be done for sexual assault if you went out hugging people and they'd line up for compo.

One of the advantages of being a minor celebrity is that you become the object of positive vibes and smiles (and very few negative ones - even when one is a registered Vile Pervert).
I do think the weather is a powerful influence; people are so much more affectionate when the sun is shining (one reason why I love warmer climes).

Well, me being a quiet sort of chap does not usually have such feelings but today (despite of - or perhaps because of the bad weather) felt really cheerful inside. But on exiting the house I saw the same dour and rushing figures, heads bowed and introverted. What a shame that in these days of everything going pear shaped that we cannot tap into the one thing that is free and untaxable - a genuine warm greeting and an even warmer smile.
I felt like it would be a really good thing to share some internal good feelings but I realised that a hug would be greeted with "get off of me you pervert" and a hello and smile would be greeted with a look that shoots daggers.
What a shame everybody is so bloomin' miserable and dis-interested in the rest of the population. It is at times like this that hugs and good feelings are needed the most.
Anyway, a hug and a good hearty slap on the back to you all here on a day when you may need it the most
