Angel Yep it's big news now its hit you lot in the South. We've been snowed in since Saturday with motorways unpassable, schools closed throughout Scotland and shops running out of supplies. Its the heaviest snowfall I can remember so brace yourselves!
BR This was predicted by Cambridge Universities top people

No fantasy here - just watch the TV or look at Webcams on the road networks.

Snowageddon is here !

Rail is almost at a standstill

You live in a fantasy world, you really do.
BR Rail is almost at a standstill because they cant cope with the combination of snow AND ice on the points. My local station is running ONE train an hour ( if lucky) and the Northern Line outside in North London has been suspended....the airports are all closed.

Tonight we are going to get 8 INCHES of snow according the new weather warning issued just now.

The whole transport infrastructure is collapsing with the M25 - M1 - M20 gridlocking in the snow and ice tonight already and people stranded in stations on trains.

Gritting is having no effect because the snow is covering it and making it worthless.

With temperatures getting colder tomorrow and Friday and more snow things are going to get worse. This is the THIRD "Winter Snow Storm" in the last 2 years ( 2009 - and Jan 2010 and now Nov.Dec 2010 ) and it shows the weather is getting worse.

Moaning is no good. Best thing is to "hunker down" as they do in other countries who are used to this weather. The centre of London is still moving - so day to day business carries on but once you get to near the M25 the country is at a standstill.

Fantastic. I love snow "!
Prunella Minge The Beeb seem to be panicking. They've been cancelling loads of interviews today because of potential train delays. Seems a bit OTT to me.
