Topic History of: Jonathan King To Return To Our TV Screens This Christmas?

robbiex My bet is that they will remove it. I remember that Jonathon's part in the show "I love 1971" was edited out in the repeat version some years afterwards. However because five is a lower profile channel, maybe they will show it. Also whenever bbc programmes are later shown on commercial channels they undergo some editing anyway to allow more time for the adverts.
Marcus This got me thinking.......

Channel 5 are to screen an episode of Top of the Pops from Christmas 1985 on Boxing Day at 6:40pm.

A chap called Jonathan King did the US chart rundown, and was apparently even in the studio that night.

Will Channel 5 leave it in or edit it out?

I know that when German TV shows regular reruns of original episodes of TOTP, Jonathan's appearances are left in completely unedited, but Gary Glitter's performances ARE edited out.

What will Channel 5 do?

JK- belated birthday wishes for the other day, and thank you for my Christmas card!
