JK2006 I'm a huge Royal Family fan too but think it's ridiculous the platitudes written and uttered in the message. I didn't even bother to watch this year.

And you're absolutely right about the coverage; the girl at Sandringham on TV was stunningly inept.
Innocent Accused Well spotted David,I do like the Queen,and the pomp and ceremony brings this country millions,but her role does mean she's too detached from reality at times.
steveimp Heres a rant - I hate the radio news on a Christmas Day morning.

On LBC today a reporter, paid to be at Sandringham said "and when they leave the church they will return to Sandringham where they will have their Christmas lunch". Who cares? Their lackies and flunkies will be servile to them away from their own families. Wheres the news value as to what they actually do? Nothing. It's vapid.
