robbiex Well the film is aimed at 8 year olds.
DJones Here is Walter Murch's assessment
Why 3D doesn't work and never will

From Wikipedia:
"Murch is widely acknowledged as the person who coined the term Sound Designer, and along with colleagues developed the current standard film sound format, the 5.1 channel array, helping to elevate the art and impact of film sound to a new level. "Apocalypse Now" was the first multi-channel film to be mixed using a computerized mixing board." He won two more Oscars for the editing and sound mixing of "The English Patient."
JK2006 Incidentally, hated the 3D too - a really "effects for the sake of it" gimmick as opposed to say Avatar, where it was part of the experience.
JK2006 The Mariah Carey of movies - all technique and no soul; and will doubtless be huge. Nobody wants depth anymore; they want slick; they want clever; they want derivative. Like the utterly ghastly music in it; perfectly planned and executed; not a tune; not a decent lyric.
Twitter generation children will adore it. Big eyes; fake sincerity; blatant twists and heart tugging chords in all the right places.
A plastic film for a plastic society.

A terribly well polished Disney turd. Well done all concerned.
