Yes - but its the best we have !
If you can come up with an alternative - where all sides will accept the result, we'd love to hear it.

of course you are right..completely unfair and that 51% prove themselves time and time again to be fu^kwits.
The problem is these days the media has done a superb job along with interested parties in convincing a sizable section to vote against their own best interests..especially in the USA,
Naom Chomsky has for years done the greatest detailed surveys better then any other survey firm using university facilities throughout the USA and discovered that it's usually around 70% of Americans who want socialised medicine and higher taxes for corporations and so on..and that is why a Murdoch is so dangerous to democracy.
Ronnie Reagan found his greatest support amongst working Americans who believed his bullsh*t when he was the greatest enemy of the working man ever elected.

well, one of many (I don't believe in it) is that when 51% want one thing they are removing 49% of the population.
And when the most powerful, strongest 15% want it, they can dominate the others.
So what's the key?
The media - "reflecting" the "majority" (oh yeah? All they want is the best story).
