Blackit I think Robbie and Veritas are both right.

Not many people in Italy would consider Berlusconi a paedophile and most men are probably envious of his escapades with beautiful 17 year old girls - Italian men haven't yet been castrated and I don't suspect they will for a little while longer.

But the point here is the double standards. Rupert Murdoch and Tony Bliar have created a society which is constantly inventing new sex offences that go well beyond the official age of consent. Teachers who have sex with 17 year old pupils are criminilized and denounced as paedophiles and sex predators by the red tops. You can go to jail for 'possessing child porn' if you have looked at a picture of a 30 year old woman in pigtails and school uniform. No male celebrity can publically declare how much they would like to bang Miley Cyrus (when she was still 17) because they would get paedophile accusations levelled at them, but of course female celebs can publically drool all over 16 year old Justin Bieber (and several have).

The United Nations defines a child as anybody under 18. Paying for sex with an adult or a 'child' is illegal in Italy, buy when it involves a 'child' under 18 it carries a stiffer sentance.

So by the morality and legal system that Bliar and Murdoch have created, (and Burlsuconi himself, or at least his party) Burlusconi IS a paedophile who pays to have sex with kids.

Of course it's all bollocks. 15 years are not children and 17 year olds certainly aren't. Paedophiles are people with an explicit preference for pre-pubescent children. The point is the double standards.

The 19 year old is indeed very close (more so mentally) to the alleged victims who it's alleged he urged to touch each other yet the media and police have gone full pelt on "pedophile rings).

Contrasted with Tony Blair and Rupert Murdoch's great pal Silvio who it is alleged had sex with an "underage" girl...no use of the pedophile word here...at his bunga bunga parties. And contrast the age difference.

Why isn't Waxie Maxie out in the media saying every British man would love to be in the 19 year old's shoes ?..just as he has claimed that every Italian man would love to have sex with an underaged girl ?

the media will disappear up it's bum one day.

The girl in the Silvio case was 17, which under british law wouldn't be regarded as under-age thats the big difference here. The girls in the 19 year olds case were children, the girl in silvio's case was a young woman.

correct but when has that stopped the media palying word games ?

In Italy the legal age is 14 (in Silvio's case it's the prostitution that has him in trouble even if there was no sex).

When a 19 year old (teenager) commits a crime he is a 'man'..if he is a hero he is a 'teen'.
SJB Actually Robbie, paying a 17yr old for sex is also illegal in English law.

The lad arrested in this story may well have been a "child" himself when the alleged events occured. I'll be interested to see if it can be shown exactly when he uttered his illegal speech/illegal messages, or whether the word of the accusers will be enough. In any case, inter-teenage relationships aren't really a casue for concern are they???

Imprisoning people because someone said they said something is pretty worrying, especially when compared to other "speech crimes" from extreme imams posting on youtube, or far-right or far-left groups publishing leaflets.

funny how the media and authorities pick up a word and then sensationalise it out of all proportion.

Yes, as the above post shows they use sensational headlines and catchphrases to "spin" across their own point of view.

The police are not supposed to dabble in politics (but do !) and as the above shows, they now use sensational press releases to "frighten" the public into writing to their MPs to invoke the police's own viewpoint.
