Excellence in Mastermind and University Challenge should not be defined by the closeness of the end scores. It is more a factor of the accurate and rapid responses to questions - on a very wide range of subjects; undoubtedly, it is this range which is, by far, the most significant ingredient.
JK2006 A woman at the start was really good and she only lost by one point.
