Not true, Sidcup. How do you then explain two brothers of the same age with the same mother, one of whom has a full head of hair and the other who is bald?

There is no guaranteed way of preventing hair loss or a means of reversing it.

I have 3 brothers- 2 by a different father. In both sets of two-one has gone almost completely bald..(I have a fine crop)..perhaps the genes can skip a generation..just as one child may have the looks of a grandparent.
Angel Check the last sentence in your first post. It contradicts your last post.

There are enough treatments out there these days to prevent hair-loss, if not to reverse it.
Propecia, prevents further hair loss in 90% of men, and Regaine has been around for about 20 years or so and that is also very effective in preventing hair-loss. There is no need for anyone these days to go bald (apart from those 10% for whom propecia doesn't work.

Utter tosh. Regaine does not prevent, it slows down the process and propecia works in the same way. Stop using the stuff and you're back to square one. If there was a cure as good as you suggest then Elton, Travolta etc wouldn't wear a syrup. They are still looking for a cure.

Well Actually Elton has been bald since the early 70's, so too late for propecia, it doesn't grow back hair, merely prevents further loss in 90% of cases. You should read my messages more accurately angel, I do actually say that it prevents further hair-loss, if not reverses it. Well as regards the theory about, stop using it and you're back to square one. This is true, eventually your hair will start falling out again, however, the workaround is don't stop using it.
Karmic bounce No; my mum couldn't use a computer at this level for toffee but her dad did have male pattern baldness just like me.
