veritas when I first got here to live permanently I already knew it was still one of the most corrupt former British colonies on the planet.

Some brave politicians decided to bring in an outsider.

Commander Peter Ryan who was head of the Hendon Police College was hired as police commissioner to root out corruption in NSW.

Talk about stepping into the lion's den !

Ryan is clever, intelligent, compassionate and a stickler for the rules and devoid of stupid tabloid style thinking.

He cleansed NSW of the worst and most corrupt cops. Eventually creepy politicians, radio shock jocks and News Corp tabloids forced him out.

He is now head of Olympic Games security so would have been working in London for years now..forget the Yankee cop..get Ryan !!
