Anyone else not a fan of Butter Beans?

Memories of my mother murdering them in the pan put me off for years.
I did try them as a side dish with a tomato sauce, bit like a pulse, kinda worked.
david I'd completely forgotten about butter beans, which I hadn't eaten since my childhood many years ago. I used to love them and think I'll go and buy some tomorrow.

I like them just as they are.

As a side note, I was thinking that we call the bean used in baked beans the 'haricot bean'. Since 'haricot' is French for 'bean' anyway, does this mean that we are eating 'bean beans'?
