Just spent a great 90 minutes re-watching the classic BBC drama Ghostwatch, which is unbelievably 19 years old today.
It's just been re-released as a cheapo DVD, but if you can get hold of the original release from the BFI, it's well worth it for the extras. |

Oh, I think you've got some years left. I went to the supermarket this evening. There were two young men, aged about 20, in the wine and spirits section. One was dressed as a skeleton, the other as Casper. They bought two bottles of Cognac, one bottle of Jameson's whiskey and two crates of Carlsberg! |

I didn't go trick or treating as I'm too old really. I look kinda 14ish but most of my friends who I hang about with would be accused of terrorizing the neighbourhood so we just chill and tell ghost stories and stuff. My brother still go trick or treating. |

Many countries eat pumpkin- it's certainly popular in Hungary.

About 5 years ago I told my friend Deniz I loved and missed Pumpkin Pie (I used to eat it at Thanksgiving in America) - he revealed he loved it too (he's from Bermuda) but could we find one in the UK? No. So I got Baker and Spice to make me a special one (£35!). We loved it but couldn't believe the price.
So this year Den made me one himself. Took him forever (he made himself one too) but it's delicious with whipped cream.
Neither of us can understand why the Brits scrape out and throw away the delicious flesh and use them for candles with silly triangle eyes. It's like chucking out the flesh of a melon. |
