andrew Fantastic director really loved Music Lovers, Mahler, Tommy, The Devils who can forget The Lair Of The Worm ?
robbiex Made lots of interesting, if bizarre films like "The Lair of the White Worm" and the "Devils". He used to think outside the box and made genuinely sexy films.
Metal Mickey That's a real shame, he was a true legend for a good while, a real character, which the media just doesn't seem to produce any more.

I had the pleasure of meeting him some years ago - I'd been warned in advance that he might be difficult, but he was a delight (though rather frail), despite his unhappiness at how impossible it was for him to get any funding for any projects he had on the go.

RIP
The Fat Controller Oh no...didn't know until I saw this post. Marvellous director, great personality.
giles2008 I met him on the set of "Tommy" back in 1974. A wonderfully mad man. He's known in Portsmouth as the man who burnt down South Parade Pier which is seen ablaze at the end of the movie. The Devils is finally due for a dvd release next year but without the nun orgy I believe.
