Simon (who I love) is not in the music business. He's in the TV and Marketing industries. Much though I adore him, the only real hits he's ever picked have been Flying Without Wings and (through his employee Sonny Takhar) Bleeding Love. |

"It can ALL be explained"? Yes, indeed, that was one of the details we used - as does every single release on a major label. Come off it Moi. You weren't aware of that before now? You're clearly not completely informed about the music industry (like, sadly, most other casual observers - and key members of it!). |

Ah yes, it can all be explained by the genius of the internet (or rather the ingeniousness of those individuals who fully leverage its capabilities), by persuading your YouTube audience to buy all the digital re-mixes. The Official Charts Company (apparently) count them as one. So maybe Alex has a core fanbase of say 10,000, which was a big enough critical mass to propel him into the public eye, and which incidentally didn't cost him a penny!
