Mike Read's Hairdresser TV is Denmark is mainly non-commercial - DR is their equivalent of the BBC. They also don't appear to have gone all glam and Hollywood - the actors all look like real people you'd see if you were out shopping in Tescos. I think that by keeping their dramas real, and not making the main protagonists gorgeous, overly made-up and anorexic (during the leaders' debate Christiansen defies her spin doctor by admitting to having a big bum). It's good to see Strang from the killing turn up as a the new PM's wife. Did you notice the PM doing her ironing whilst watching the news on TV? I bet Maggie never had the time to do that...
JK2006 Right - after six delightful hours I've caught up.
It is terrific, isn't it? What on earth has Scandinavia been doing to make such superior entertainment?

Great films; great music; great TV; great novels...

It really is the creative area of the decade.
JK2006 I've just watched Episode One and it's brilliant.

Three more to catch up with before No5 tonight.

I'm in deep shit.
