JK2006 I missed this on broadcast and caught up with it through iPlayer... and was very disappointed. Despite the potential (as always) of magnificent Dickens creations (like the grave digger) - this stank.

I must admit it's the one Dickens novel I've never read - because it was unfinished (he died half way through) - and I do intend to read what there is of it one day; but I hated the TV adaptation which, to me, was a bit like Sherlock - it thought it was more clever than it was.

But worse - like Moffat with Conan Doyle - it thought it was better than the genius who created it. That is unforgivable hubris.
