Alex, Charlie and I tried The Lounge - the new cinema experience at the Odeon, Whiteleys - and it was fantastic.

Very comfortable, great food, lovely drinks and first class service.

We wanted to see The Artist but it had come off so, although Charlie had seen Mission Impossible a couple of weeks ago, he was happy to see it again. I loved it and so did Alex. I think Tom Cruise makes very good films. Spectacular camera work, stunts and CGI.

I was uneasy about the eating, drinking and watching combination but it works very well; ordering and serving can take place during trailers and adverts; so can much of the eating; dessert arrives quietly and unobtrusively; sound, picture and comfort are splendid.

Highly recommended especially for romantic couples (they have nice side by side twosome seats) although I hasten to point out Charlie, Alex and I were there in a professional capacity!
