JK2006 Just read this slim volume - he seems to have become a thoroughly disagreeable and grumpy old man but, after loving The Spider's House - I wanted to sample his memories of Tangier in 1988.

Interesting; nice photos but my diaries would be far more interesting. I must scribble them sometime.

Astonished that nobody has made a film of The Spider's House. Why on earth not? A dead cert Oscar winner.

I still get tearful thinking of the last few lines.
