We've all done that ITK.

According to Wiki he makes a habit of absconding !

When 17 he absconded with a family friends credit card and spent huge amounts of money using that credit card (and subsequently spent 3 months in Pucklechurch Prison)

wiki.answers.com/Q/Has_Stephen_Fry_been_to_prison

You haven't done that have you, FC ?

veritas Catholism is no different to capitalism...it depends how it's used to control the masses.

At present capitalism is being hopelessly mismanaged as the Catholic church has been.

People should worry more about the Christian Right in the USA which is deadly.

Fry is an actor who uses his craft in similar ways.

Those speeches are so reminiscent of the Aetheist Religion of which the huymourless Dawkins is Pope of.

my prediction...a massive surge in spiritual beliefs over the next few decades.

(where is Bin Laden's dyalisis machine?)

I would have thought well-adjusted rationalists would just get on with their lives.

Can you refer to someone with mental illness as a "well-adjusted rationalist" ?

The only people who seem to be obsessed about religion in this country, outside of muslim fundamentalists (who are dangerous and are therefore left well alone by these soft white middle-class poseurs) are atheists. Maybe they're disappointed no one takes much notice of their 'daring' inconoclasm.

Did he not also say -

"Sometimes belief means credulity, sometimes an expression of faith and hope which even the most sceptical atheist such as myself cannot but find inspiring"
- source Spectator Lecture at the Royal Geographical Society, The Spectator, 9 May 2009, Pg. 28

So there you have it .... he is both FOR and AGAINST religion (but what else would you expect from a nutter?)
