Mr Fleet For years police have known that hard drives in media offices are crammed with hard core porn - all downloaded "for research purposes" of course.
For some reason (perhaps because many police hard drives are also fat with porn - "for research purposes") this has been ignored.
It has also been suspected that some corrupt people may have been making money from this.
But it is now suspected that the "cover" of media research can be used to get very sensitive information about celebrities, ministers, royals and so on.
Not just for illicit use such as blackmail but by certain people "planted" in the media by more serious organisations.
Just check which force and unit is investigating this.
This story is going to get much, much bigger.
