JK2006 Regulars will know I've retained most of my old friendships and Jane was my sub when I wrote my Sun column - she's now their longest serving (and best) columnist herself.

Although we meet and eat every few months, we had so much to catch up on last week that our lunch lasted until 4pm.

The good side of journalism; intelligent, sensitive, great writer, but most of all a genuinely true and loyal friend. Always has been; always will be.
