Oh dear ITK,how many times will you get this one wrong?...it's Red Robbo ...but the real problems at BL weren't the unions,but bad management.
The problems at BL lay mostly with those on the production line IA. They constructed unreliable products that were a national joke. Allegro, Princess, Maxi, I could go on.
Angel I grew up round the corner from the factories at Longbridge,and at the risk of perhaps having misunderstood your point will beg to differ.
The workers didn't help of course with their strikes etc,but when the product you make is frankly 'crap',and the tools you use are badly produced etc you have to lay blame elsewhere...ie those making the decisions in the first place. |
