veritas	I think Meryl is the greater actress. This Oscar business is odd...just watched Rabbbit Hole for which Nicole Kidman was nominated..really?. Boring movie and so was she.
Prunella Minge	I never get the reverence for Dench. A good actress. No more and no less. But no need for the forelocktugging. She got an Oscar for just turning up. Streep always seems a delightful person when I see her interviewed, but, again, I can take or leave or take her leave her performances.
The Fat Controller	Meryl Streep went way up in my estimation at the BAFTAS when that shoe came off and she seemed down to earth and quite lovely. For some reason I presumed she was a bit of a diva.
DJones	Proof that Meryl Streep could play anyone
JK2006	A clear battle for Best Actress in the world. Two extraordinary performers - both prepared to play totally different characters. Funnily enough I can't think of any actors to be up there with them.
