andrew I enjoy reading The Sun it's not contradictory unlike the BBC news everyday.
Prunella Minge You're completely right pumpkinhead. Poor old Rupert's senile act in Parliament ought to get him dragged back for another 'humble' day.
veritas I predict the SOS will be basically a non event..limp along with ubnder 2 million sales and when the price has to go up...who knows.

I have never in my lifetime heard of a businessman closing one of the most succesful businesses as the NoTW was.

Murdoch could have either sold it or put it into a blind trust...instead he shut down over 100 years of history and thinks he can re-invent the wheel and transfer goodwilll form one paper to another..if only it was so easy.

People still think Murdoch is a great 'newspaper' man..he isn;t..he has never in his leftime set up a newspaper ( apart from his beloved Australian which loses a fortune and sells about 100,000 a day)

..what he is a great coporate raider whio sees newspapers others have set up..and goes in for the kill. He hires the best who do all the hard work.

sorry...but Amanda Holden (and I like her) "near death" is not an exclusive and not great front page material..it's a month old story.
Innocent Accused I agree,Murdoch and his empire stink!
Pumpkinhead I agree that it should be innocent until proven guilty, it still is, but if a police officer or senior member of the government was accused of such a serious offence there would rightly be calls for suspension until the matter is cleared. Agumentally, Rupert Murdoch etc have far more power to invade and threaten people's lives. There are literally lives at stake - how many innocent people have died during the media witch hunts? If more than one it's too many - we can't pussyfoot around if fear of upsetting the media.
