Topic History of: Karma? Robin Gibb says cancer may be payback for Bee Gees success

JK2006 As usual - it's never the simplistic slogan or either extreme that's the truth; bad attitude or lifestyle doesn't necessarily cause cancer or anything else; there are numerous reasons for things in life. I know someone who nearly died cutting their finger yet others do it with no problems.

But I've watched the bile and acid provoked by making false allegations turn healthy people into dribbling vegetables. They know what they have done and the acid caused by that - combined with the inability to admit it to anyone else (and sometimes even to themselves) must eat away inside the body, the heart and the brain.

Some call it karma. I call it inevitable. Humanity does not yet fully understand the effects of chemistry.

Fame and success don't demand a payback. It's how you deal with it that can affect you.
veritas crikey Robin..you weren't that bad !

I love the Bee Gees very early stuff..brilliant.

maybe the bad karma comes from the disco era.
angel I wonder if that applies to my 3 year old daughter? Get well Robin you plonker x.
andrew I thought it was their choice lifestyle of drinks and drugs.
In The Know It may also be a genetic family strain !
