It's union FLAG, not jack!! As for the uniforms, they look horrid to me. They need to be ultra-simplistic, and of course no egotistical designer can cope with that remit (like TV directors - the 'busier' the better). |

I think naf is the word and after you have seen endless t/shirts, t-towels with the design you will hate it. As for those bandaged knees !!
difficult trying to re-interpret what is already a perfect design-the Union Jack. Stella is a down market High Street designer hailed as a genius because of her father.
Why didn't they get someone really exciting like Vivienne Westwood ?
Third World countries will have better designs. |

I've heard on the grapevine up here that Alex Salmond is a massive fan of the new GB kit. Heaven knows why? |

I rather like it - I think it gets the Union Jack message across (and I'm all in favour of a United Kingdom in a United Europe as part of the Human Race - with individual cultures, foods, languages and styles remaining). |
In The Know |
Enormous Olympic rings have started popping up in London. There's a set at St Pancras, another recently floated down the Thames, and a third set will be suspended at Tower Bridge.
We're told that there's something special about one of the rings. Someone involved in their construction had a bit of a downer on the whole Olympics in London thing. So he took a shit inside one of the rings. And then had it welded shut.
(thanks, Popbitch - the Olympics have their uses it seems!) |
