Yep. I can imagine now - 3.30am, and now live coverage of the Tiddly Winks Finals in Taiwan. Followed by snail racing in Billericay.

It would be good practise for the biggest non-event of all time, though !

......... because we caused them ?

Be interesting to see what will happen to Talksport ratings from Monday not even 5 Live is 24/7 sport station. Talksport will be very tedious there is only so much of sport you can talk about, most of the time they be repeating itself. No more dodgy phone calls and Nigel from Maidstone will be bored.

it was massive news for Talksport last night, why was he sacked from the Labour Party I thought he only just did door canversing for the party ?

Talksport let George go a few weeks ago, as they intend to go '24 hour sport' (which won't work). A massive bollock dropped by Moz Dee there.

There are few 'star' candidates like Galloway and looking at the electorate, it would be odd if he didn't win.
Galloway is not a "star" candidate ... I didn;t even know he was standing till 3 days before the poll.
Labour had chosen their local Council leader ... shows what the electorate think of that !!!

ITK- you still claim debt is bad which it isn't (although I was taught not to buy what I couldnlt afford and don't). Otherwise no-one would have a mortgage with people paying mainly interest payments for decades.
Interesting that you advise others to do something you avoid !

Mortgages are an entirely different entity. You are buying a major purchase which, will increase in value, and will be worth more when you have bought it thasn it cost (until loony Labour came along of course).

Compare that to people who were encouraged to buy (on tick) the latest gadget or mobile phone - which was out-of-date (and had lost 90% of its value) before they got it home from the shop !!!

It's part of the system and there is no reason for a government to avoid debt, depending on how it is incurred.
Long term infastructure, yes ... but not short term "vote buying" and encouraging the wasters to stay on the dole.
