Carl Poll Tax a good thing? You must be joking!

Council tax does not prejudice people living on their own, people who live on their own get a 25% discount.

Yes she saved us from the loony left - and healed us from being the "sick man of Europe".

Milipede, with his "I dont support unions, well I do, but I dont sometimes" rhetoric is trying to turn the clock back.
robbiex She did some good things and some bad things.

Good Things:
Stood up to strikers.
Poll Tax - fairer than council tax as it doesn't prejudice people living on their own.

Bad Things
Sold off council houses - Now there is no social housing for low paid workers.
The Falklands war - like 2 bald men fighting over a comb, 100s killed to save an island of 1500 people, whose lives weren't under threat.
3.5 million unemployed - a whole generation was lost
Mike Read's Hairdresser Social policies, such as selling off council houses for a song! I gather this one is being re-born by the ConDems, only this time they want to give council tenants a £75,000 discount! I wonder if they intend to do anything for private tenants who would dearly love to buy their own place but can't afford to? The ghost of the Iron Lady's social agenda has come back to haunt us I'm afraid...
Carl Great Prime Minister, great leader, got it badly wrong when she introduced the Poll Tax and paid the price.
